Blazerock...

The clan Blazerock is perhaps the most scholarly of all Nippon's clans. Blazerock is composed of mostly avian youkai: cranes, owls, falcons, and the like. Any demon seeking wisdom and knowledge is welcome to the organization, of course. The clan itself, however, is the most difficult to reach. Those associated with the group live high atop a dormant volcano. The base of the mount is treacherous.
In addition, there are few known ways into the Blazerock complex that do not require flight. The structure is built into the rock of the volcano, with rooms and tunnels carved straight into it. It encompasses the entire volcano. Near the base lie one of Blazerock's specialties - hot springs. Most of the natural hot geysers are used to heat these large baths, as well as keep the floors warm with hot steam.

Higher up, the rim of the volcano is built up with large, open passages with eloborate butresses. The center is a large tile landing port, surrounded by empty space straight down to the lowest level, where most residents enter and leave the estate. Around the port are innumeral levels of a vast library - the pride and joy of Blazerock. Their pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds, and their vast collection of scrolls offer plenty of information.

Above the library still lies a massive pagoda, supported by the highest point on the rim of the volcano. This is where clan members reside. It is a very open structure, with large, covered porches around all sides and excellent ventilation. In the upmost room, the Daimyo dwells, with the entire level dedicated to their care. The roof of the pagoda, however, has been made flat. It is not another landing area (aside from urgent messengers for the Daimyo), but the area acting as dojo - where the Daimyo personally trains and others are allowed to train.
